WHAT CHILD DEDICATION IS NOT
 
Here at TVC, we believe child dedication is not the same as salvation for your child. The decision to follow Jesus is a personal decision and cannot be made by someone other than the person seeking to follow Jesus. Child dedication is not baptism either. At TVC we believe baptism is the public profession of faith and once a child is old enough to make a decision to follow Jesus, they can choose to be baptized. 
 
HOW DO WE CELEBRATE CHILD DEDICATION?
 
Child dedications at TVC are a public declaration by the parents of their intended commitment to raise their child for God. We do dedications as a church family so we can come together as a community to support and pray for the parents and child. Typically, we do child dedications for kids ages birth-2 years but older siblings are always welcomed to be dedicated alongside their younger siblings. 
 
WHEN ARE CHILD DEDICATIONS DONE?
 
Child dedications are usually scheduled 2-3 times a year and are promoted 2-3 weeks in advance to give ample time for families to prepare and invite others to the dedication. Dedications happen during our regular weekend services at all of our campuses. Dedicating a child to God is something to celebrate so please think about inviting friends and family to witness the dedication- the more the merrier!
